Some people think brown is boring

Brown is leaves dying or dead grass,

Mud getting tracked onto carpet

But I think brown is a lovely color

It’s delicious chocolate over vanilla ice cream

It’s the dark color of tall trees in a forest

It’s rich fertile earth after a rainstorm

But I love brown the most in the eyes

Of the woman I love

Because it’s there where I see love reflected back at me

It’s there that I can lose myself but know that she’ll catch me

Brown is one of the best colors I know because it’s

A color of love
